Good morning witches,
Last weekend I had a weekend of getting out and about. Properly for the first time this year to be fair. Saturday I went for my usual walk around the local woods and the signs of new growth are bustling forward like no ones business. Snow drops are popping up all over, Lamb tails are on the trees. Sticky buds coming on the ash trees and it was warm enough not to have to wrap up to much. I must admit that as I’m getting older being out in the cold is more of a pain then it used to be so I’m very much more about getting out for a walk in the day light when it’s not so cold then I used to be a couple of years ago. But it was good to see signs of live coming back to the natural world. And I love snow drops, always the first sign that spring is just around the corner.
I also went down to one of my favourite places to be. Lee-on-the-Solent is one of Hampshire’s little gems of a place. Although when I went down last Sunday the weather was on the warm side and the beech was busy with family’s and devil children screaming and making to much noise as they tried to get the attention of parents who really couldn’t give a sh*t. Why is it that parents would think that it would be a nice idea to drag the devil children away from there ipads and gaming consoles and make them go for a walk along a pebble beach and then wonder why it turns out to be more of a pain then the joy they had hoped it would be? I will never understand it. But anyhow I was still able to find a free bench and sit and enjoy the sound of the sea and the warm spring sunshine before I headed back up to the main street to find a spot of lunch.
There is something to be said in changing your outlook, even for a day. I’m lucky enough to have a local wood to walk around and that is where I mostly get to talk to the Goddess. But it was so good to be down my the sea and to see another aspect of her play out in the natural world. It’s good to get out and to experience another part of her energy. It gives a much more rounded few of the whole of her, rather than the one you experience in your normal day to day.
Hope you have a blessed week, later’s witches
I really appreciate the depth of information you’ve provided here. It’s clear that you’ve put a lot of thought and effort into this post, and it’s made a big difference for me.
