Good morning witches,

Another trip around the sun begins, my 49th as it happens but I stopped counting along time ago so if any one ask’s it’s only my 21st….well ok 31st if you want be picky about it. I did get a birthday visit from the Goddess though, which was lovely.

This lovely old fella came and paid me a visit at work during the week at work, had a drink from one of the puddles and went on his way. Lovely to see him out in the open in the day light. And I’m not reading anything in to other than the Goddess sent one of her dog friends to say hello.

One of things that really felt right when I first recognised Hekate as the Goddess who had been popping in and out of my dreams and visions for a long time, was the connection with the dogs. I’ve always been a dog lover and on my bucket list of things to do when I’ve got the time and won the lotto is to have a dog of my own. I wouldn’t have one now, as I work full time and I don’t believe that it would be fair to the dog. You really need to be at home and be with them to get the full benefit of their love and friendship. But one day I’ll have a dog of my own. Tradition would have it that at the dogs the Goddess is most closely linked with are the hounds of hell. Cerberus, Garmr and the black dogs of English folklore link in with her role of cross road keeper and holder of the keys. All mythical links to the underworld. So I was very happy to see this old fella come and say hello in my birthday week.

In these modern times one of the other things i guess a lot of us look forward to is the facebook messages and social media posts. it always amazes me the amount of people that wish me a happy birthday on facebook. It does gladden the heart to see them. i guess in my day it would have been the sound of envelopes hitting the door matt that would have brought that same feeling of joy. I still think there is something special about getting an actual card. But then Im old school in a lot of ways, social media still being a mine field I still don’t really get like the young ones do. Its still appreciated even so.

Love and light to my dear friend. 
Another year, 
How time does pass, 
Just a blink of the eye. 
 Ah, but alas… 
Tis but another path, 
Another mystery to explore.
