Good morning witches!
I really hope y’all had a better week, first week of a retrograde can be tough to get through and that was most defiantly the case this time round. I know some of you where feeling the same as I was last week, but I’m happy to report that I’m in much better spirits now and feeling a bit more charged up energy wise.
At this time when we are facing a lot of unknowns with the continuation of Covid (it’s not gone away), cost of living, energy bills and now with monkey pox being added in to the mix and with the war in the Ukraine, how do you keep on keeping on? Answers on a post card please. When it feels like our political class are failing us and the capitalist’s are hell bent on making every one freeze this winer. heaven forbid that they should see reducing profit (cutting prices) as a good thing. And the prime minster is saying, well it should all sort it’s self out in a year or two. Actually in this case the political can’t do much about it. They don’t set prices in Sainsbury’s and this is why real power rest’s with those who control the market and not the political douchbags in Westminster. Instead of giving your MP grief on this one we should be marching on the corporate machine and head offices, and I expect that might just come about, but properly not in my life time.
The little glamour of hope that I do see is on the Monkey pox story. I was watching the interview on Sunday Morning with the UK world health Rep and she was the only one who brought up the sexual contact spreads monkey pox in the LGBTQA+ community thing. The interviewer side stepped the “gay” angle on it every single time. It gladded my little queer heart. Why? cause 30 years ago if anything was thought to be spread around by sexual contact we where the first one’s in the firing line from the media. The right wing press and hate groups would have been out sharping the pitch fork’s, but at the moment I don’t see a lot of that happening and that, my dear friends is the progress that we have been waiting for. For those of us who where baby gays at the start of the Aids pandemic and saw what happened to the generation above us, the hate, the mis-judgment, the homophobia – the fact that the interviewer didn’t pick up on the Gay angle and run with it is a mile stone in how we are portrayed in the media. Perhaps we have come a long way forward in some ways.
I hope some of you managed to get a little bit of craft work done over last weekends full moon. I did manage to get my crystals charged and do a Draw done the moon Ritual. Which was quiet interesting with the info I got from the meditation and a clue in how to move my craft forward a bit. Seems I need to go and research the Water element a bit more than I have done so far. And to sort out the mis-match between my emotions and my mental blocks. Seems I might have a bit of shadow work to do, not always a joy but usually worth it. I have gotten very good at blocking my emotions and I think that was because it was always stamped on pretty quick by step fathers / fathers who couldn’t / wouldn’t deal with their own let alone show me how to deal with mine. As it turns out the Vulcans where wrong. Suppressing emotion is not a goal we should be aiming for.
As we head in to June, now is the time to start planning what you would like to do for Solstice. This year I don’t have any thing in mind for what I would like to do, but I don’t want to let the day slip past either. Little bit more difficult because it’s on a Tuesday this year but seeing as we have a long weekend at the start of the month to make plan’s I’m pretty hopeful I can come up with something to mark the day. So get your thinking caps on and see what you would like to do. This year though it’s going to have to cost as little as possible, it’s a good chance to have root around your store cupboard and see what you’ve got to make incense’s and oils. We witch’s have always been good at making good things happen with that ever we have in at the time!
Hope you all have a blessed week. Laters witch’s
