Thanks giving and abundance incense mix

Good morning witches!

After a couple of weeks of focusing on other things – some magikal others more mundane, and not really being in the mood to do much else then trying to get up to go to work every day. This morning I got the urge to get a little bit creative. So I grabbed my copy of Scott Cunningham’s Complete book of Incense oils & brews and came up with this little incense mix. Partly to aid a spell already out in the universe and partly to give thanks to the Goddess for helping in the last couple of weeks through some trying times and getting ready for some planned changes in my mundane life.

Also whipped up the next batch of Black salt ready for the next full moon, seeing as I had the postal and mortar out already

Like all of us at the moment mundane life has been creeping in and taking centre stage. We’ve all had to plan and make choices over what goes thanks to the price rises and such. Getting out and about to events and seeing friends, which had been cut back already, has had to go as I can’t justify the extra diesel and it’s down to the Value brands when I do the shop. But to make ends meet a little better I’ve been offered some extra hours at work, but the reaction to that action is that I’m going to lose a little bit more of the little free time that I did have. Don’t get me wrong I’m extremely grateful that it’s come up just when I needed it, thanks to the Goddess for looking after her own and to my lovely boss for offering the hours to me.

The book I’m readying at the moment, Cyndi Brannen, Keeping her keys

Talk’s about the intention to lead a meaningful, magical life, saying that we should not accept anything else and she offers this prayer to help

Hail Hekate,

May I be ever passionate

May I be kind to myself and others

May I act with integrity.

Guardian, light my way

Guide, show me how,

Gatekeeper, open the way

To a magical ife

In the old times, before I stepped on to my witch path, having a faith in the constant, daily round of prayer and saying the offices was one of the things that saw me through the hard times. This spring as I come out of one of the worst depressions I’ve had in a long time over the winter months, I step back in to a world that is torn by war, money problems and that virus is still very much with us. And yet I’m finding that my daily practices are still the things that keep me going. My daily Tarot reading, my mindfulness walks, and knowing deep down that a higher power has my back. This is the inner strength that we all need to pull on at the moment. As I continue to battle with my demons, and do the shadow work to banish them, and back that up with sending away those that caused or used them to hurt me, I’m even more grateful that, although life is tough – their is still some things that keep my inner flame alive and keep the passion and creative spark still glowing, even if they could do with a good poke to get them all fired up again.

Last week we finished this years “Not any old Tarot” course. I’m so proud with the people that came along and took an interest. They have all done so well and I hope this is the start they need for many happy years with their Tarot decks. As always when we run the course I learn more and more about how I work with the Tarot – I didn’t realise before how much of the Zodiac I use with the Courtly cards and how the numbers in the Cups work for me, so for that I’m grateful. We will be running the course again next year so keep any eye out on my and Rachaels socials for up dates.

So as we gear up for Beltane, keep the faith my lovelies, the weather is getting warmer and the days longer! Laters witches!
