Good Morning Witch’s

And a very Happy Ostara to you all. We’ve enjoyed a couple of days of good Spring weather here in the UK. The sun is shining, it’s been warm with a nice spring breeze, ever where I look I can see nature starting it’s new growth. My favourite spring flowers of snow drops, daffodils and primroses are well on the way and I have felt a big lifting in my mood these last few days. Amazing what a bit of sun light and warmth can do to the heart of this bitter old witch!

It’s been a busy few days in the witches calendar with Full moon just a couple of days ago and with the Equinox today, it’s been rituals a plenty and I’ve still not finished! I’ve still to do my Equinox reading. You can buy from my shop the spread lay out that I use. I’ll be doing mine just after I’ve posted this and then I’m done. Full moon was busy, as ever with smudging and cleansing tools, allowing them to moon bath in the full moon power. Meditation and drawing down the moon went well this Full moon and that’s properly a good reason why I’m feeling a bit more positive then I have been over the winter months.

Ostara is traditionally when we plant the seeds of new idea’s and help bring on those that are just starting to sprout. I’m hopeful that if I’ve got my intentions and manifesting right then I might see a bit of growth one a couple of projects that I’ve been working on over the last few months. But more about them when I know the spells landed! If you’ve already been doing a spot of spring cleaning and have sorted out your store cupboard then this is a really good time to start on getting in supplies and making things that you’ll need for the coming months. I’ve got to make up some more black salt, I used the last bit I had at full moon, so I’ve started to collect up all the incense ash in jar ready to whip up a new batch before the dark moon in a couple of weeks time. When you make up your own batch’s of things like Black salt and Hoodoo powders it’s a nice reminder that, firstly a witch’s work is never done, but that you get the chance to improve and grow, even on tasks you’ll do every month. Nothing is ever fixed and with the right intentions and mindset all can be grown and improved. One of the things I did do this full moon was bless and anoint this really lovely gift from a fellow witch at Yule last year.

This was the right time to do it as I’ve started work on getting closer to Hekate and have started to read a couple of books. I’ve always felt close to the Goddess and as I step forward on this part of my path it felt the right time to start to use this Wonderfull gift, given in brotherly witch love. The key is a symbol of Hekate, she is the keeper of the Keys of the realms and I’m using it at this time to unlock doors that have been closed to me in the past. The key is also linked to my magical name, so although I didn’t know it at the time, this wonderful gift was given at just the right time and for the right reason’s. Wonderful how things work out!
